LCF Worships!

Pastor’s Perspective (December 2015; Volume 4, Issue 12)

December is always too busy – shopping, extra social events, winter sports gearing up, extra church services, and often first significant snowfalls of the season. I’m suffering exhaustion just thinking about them. Every year someone comes up with bright ideas to simplify things. I agree and, like you, tend to fail in those efforts.

So here’s how it looks from my chair.

  • Let’s be kind and focus on the people, not the tasks.
  • Let’s remember “the reason for the season” and not let church get pushed to the sidelines.
  • Let’s look to the new year with the expectant hope of Advent, God’s coming now and forever.
  • Let’s look to the new year with the assurance of the incarnation, the good news that the Christ child is living among us and, through us, for others.
  • Let’s look further into God’s future promises as we discern His call for LCF.
  • Let’s love God and neighbor enough that we know that every year is a good one by the grace of God.

See you in church!
